Sitting around the Friday night meal (12 months ago) eating matzo ball soup and drinking Maneshevitz wine I mentioned to my brother that currently no one is writing blogs on jewelry and we should think seriously about getting involved in the new medium of conversation.

He was very critical and quoted the CEO of AIC Barry Diller “just because someone has something to say it does not mean people will listen” he added “blogs smogs.” So with no support from the high brass I went on it alone starting to post and learning how the blogsphere works and what is the best solutions to use.

We started out by posting once a week and found that the response was good and the content needed to get better and more consistent. We found this great writer that started to post in two voices one of a flamboyant designer the other as a girl awestruck by the whole Hollywood underworld the combination has been great and the success is amazing.

We have been written up in Business Week, Forbes, the Village Voice quoted the following “”why buy in style when you can get the information for free online.”

Once that blog was established we went into hyper drive in getting different types of blogs in out portfolio. We started a blog where people can ask questions on jewelry care and style Just Ask Leslie. With all said our search rankins have gone up and all around sales from the blogs have been doing well.
